After years of dreaming about wanting to open a community coffee house where folks could get together and enjoy each other and appreciate a great cup of coffee, we actually had a loose plan already formulated.

     So one day close to the end of our first careers, we were mulling over what to do after we retired from the military. Darren was in the Army stationed in Korea at the time and I was stationed at Fort Bliss Texas. I told Darren of all the businesses going up and that there was not one single coffee house- at least not any independently owned and operated. So it began, we started discussing our future as coffee house owners. Darren wanted to make espressos and have a place for customers to feel relaxed and genuinely welcomed. A place in our neighborhood where you could gather-A place that was not school, not work, not home-Darren wanted to create a place to get away from it all with a great cup of java. We decided to go for it and we started our planning and the end result was Java Dave’s.

Having the right roaster is key and we searched longest and hardest on this. We came across Java Dave’s Roasters in Tulsa Oklahoma and found out how the Neighbors family roasted Award-Winning Coffee, and their careful attention to detail in every step of roasting their gourmet coffee. Darren immediately took a trip to Tulsa and found Java Dave’s process to be superb. We had found our roaster!

     Now armed with the best in beans, we started planning the layout and the décor of the coffee house-We wanted a tropical feel that would be relaxing to all those who entered. We selected tropical plants, large mirrors and warm colors as well as large comfortable chairs and a long leather chocolate colored couch. We also wanted name recognition with the excellent quality of coffee we would serve, so we bought the rights to Java Dave’s name.

We have Espresso drinks such as the Funky Monkey, Grasshopper, Jungle Madness, French Vanilla Nut Cream, Carmella Latte’s, and Snickerdelicious.

     Drinks can be iced, frapped or served hot, also have it your way with syrup selections of your choice. Our ice cream bar is ready to make you gourmet Shakes such as a Raspberry Shake or Peanut Butter Shake; One of our popular ones is the Gummy Bear Shake. Of course we carry the Java Dave’s brand of Award Winning Gourmet Coffees, and Teas.

     Our Gourmet Whole Bean Coffee and Organic Fair Trade coffee is not to be missed and we will grind the beans for you in house. We offer meal replacement shakes and energy drinks and we deliver to local businesses and community events. We provide free wireless Internet and have a nice drive thru for those in a hurry. We carry a nice selection of coffee and tea equipment and lots of coffee mugs-Let us help you in selecting a coffee grinder or espresso machine for your home or business.
